Seven dead in construction site fire in Crimea: Russian governor

BY A STAFF REPORTER: At least seven people have been killed in a fire that broke out at a temporary housing unit of construction workers in Crimea, Russian officials said. Local law enforcement agencies said the fire started from a short circuit on the outskirts of the city of Sevastopol. "A fire broke out in a two-story building of construction workers on the Tavrida highway, a new road connecting the cities of Sevastopol and Simferopol in Crimea," Russian Governor Mikhail Razvozaev said. There were 185 people inside the two-storey building when the fire broke out. Russia's investigative committee said it had launched an investigation into the cause of the fire and investigators were working at the scene.
