A senior Maoist commander shot dead after a fierce encounter

A senior Maoist commander was shot dead after a fierce hour long encounter in Sukma-Bijapur border. According to home ministry sources, CRPF commandos on routine patrol were waylaid by the Maoists and an encounter took place in which the extremist was killed. CRPF officials mentioned that encounters took place at four other areas in Chattishgarh and Jhargram. CRPF has launched a massive search and combing operations.
