A tangible sense of relief was seen around St.James park as Newcastle finally ended their winless run in the Premier League to pick up their first 3 points of the season.

In the second half Newcastle got few chances to double their advantage but couldnt take them.Substitute Rodriguez thought he had rescued a point for the away side but much to his dismay it was ruled out for offside.Newcastle held on for 3 points.
This win enabled them to get off the foot of the table and move on to 10 points.Burnley stayed in the 18th position.
