ENERGY CONSERVATION DAY OBSERVED BY ASANSOL DIVISION

Staff reporter, amm news : 14th of December is celebrated as the National Energy Conservation Day. The basic objective of observance of Energy Conservation Day is to make awareness among people to avoid unnecessary use of energy and to use least energy so that energy can be saved for future uses.

In ER Asansol Division today (14.12.2021), an awareness rally was organised by the Railways’ Electrical General Department at Asansol in association with the volunteers of Bharat Scouts and Guides to make people practiced/follow some common guideline to save energy like use of Energy efficient fittings, use of Star -qualified electronic products and appliances at Offices and home, turn off electrical equipment when not in use, open windows and use natural light in day time, set computers and monitors in “Sleep Mode” when not in use and send document as e-mail attachments through e-mail/e-office etc. Awareness meeting to sensitize the Electrical maintenance staff as well as users of electricity at Railway premises. Display of poster/banners at different offices and other places. Display of energy conservation stickers at different offices and other places.

The National Energy Conservation Day was also observed at different areas of ER Asansol Division as well as Rallies have been organised at different locations for awareness.
