Fifteen injured rescued and hospitalised in Jalpaiguri train tragedy: Initial reports

BY A STAFF REPORTER : Fifteen persons are seriously injured and many feared dead after four coaches of Patna-Bikaner express derailed in Jalpaiguri in West Bengal.  The coaches almost climbed on top of each other after the derailment. Jalpaiguri police and local people initiated the rescue operations following which fifteen persons were recovered and sent to the nearest hospital. Speaking to ANM News, Superintendent of police, Jalpaiguri, Deborshi Dutta said rescue operations are underway.
