Djokovic almost out of Australian Open as his visa cancelled for second time

BY A STAFF REPORTER:
Serbian tennis star Novak Djokovic's Australian Open campaign is almost over with the country's immigration minister Alex Hawke cancelling his visa for the second time. In a statement, Hawke claimed that he exercised his power under section 133C(3) of the Migration Act to cancel Djokovic's visa on health and good order grounds on the basis that it was in the public interest to do so. The cancellation effectively stumps out any chances of Djokovic going for a record 10th Australian Open title and 21st Grand Slam. The Serbian tennis star now has two options: either to present his case to Alex Hawke or go back to the Court and fight a legal battle. But the Court case won't finish before January 17 and the Australian Open would have begun by that time.
