Industrial climate in West Bengal is very favourable: Sunil Chaturvedi

BY A STAFF REPORTER: The West Bengal government offers massive support for a favourable business environment, opined Sunil Chaturvedi, chairman and managing director of Gainwell Engineering and Gainwell Commosales Private Limited. The Caterpillar licensee Company has acquired 35 acres of land in Panagarh for setting up a modern facility with an investment of Rs 500 crores pushing the state into the global map of mining equipment segment. ``There is an unfavourable business climate view portrayed outside the state for wrong reasons, but I can say with conviction that Caterpillar has not faced any issues in the last few decades,'' said Chaturvedi. The 1988 batch IAS officer cum industrialist who served as secretary to the then railway minister Mamata Banerjee in her first tenure in the ministry was all praise for the current Mamata government in the state. ``I will request her to launch our Panagarh factory when it is ready,'' he said.
