JP Nadda targeted the Congress over the 1984 riots

By A Staff Reporter : BJP all-India president JP Nadda raised his voice against the Congress from a party program at Maur Mandi in Bathinda. Referring to the 1984 riots, he said, "When Congress came here, ask them what the leaders said when riots broke out in 1984 and Sikh brothers were killed.Congress said, When a big tree falls, the earth shakes." He added, "There are many people who do politics in the name of farmers but I can say with confidence that no one else has done what Prime Minister Modi has done for the welfare of farmers. In Punjab, 132.80 lakh metric tonnes (grains) were collected and if there is one state which was given the highest MSP by Prime Minister Modi, it is Punjab - a record Rs 23,000 crore in one year.Harmandir Sahib didn't have approval for Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act. People across the world wanted to offer prayers here & make a donation. But that donation wasn't regulated under Foreign Contribution. PM Modi gave it approval for Foreign Contribution."
