ED takes Dawood Ibrahim's brother into custody in a money laundering case

By A Staff Reporter : Dawood Ibrahim's jailed brother Iqbal Kaskar, accused in a money laundering case, is taken into custody by the ED.The Enforcement Directorate recently filed a case against Dawood Ibrahim, the mastermind of the 1993 Mumbai blasts, and his associates for financing terrorist activities and embezzling funds to disrupt law and order across the country.Kaskar will be arraigned in a special Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) court that issued a production warrant against him on February 18.Earlier, on February 15, ED also searched the house of Dawood Ibrahim's sister Hasina Parkar. The ED is conducting a search in several places in Mumbai involving people associated with the underworld in money laundering cases. An investigation is underway into the involvement of some underworld fugitives and politicians.
