Turf war lead to murder and torching in Rampurhat

Who is Bhadu Sheikh? The TMC leader, Bhadu Sheikh in his mid thirties was known as a strongman of the area. He wrested complete control over illegal land dealings and supply of materials. Sheikh ran his small empire with an armed group of criminals. The TMC leader soon ran afoul of some of his own goons. Palash Sheikh and Sanu Sheikh broke ranks and formed their own team. A bitter war over control of the lucrative trade emerged between the two rivals. With bombs and bullets on free supply, Palash and Sanju seized on the opportunity and murdered Bhadu. The TMC leader's death sparked off anger among his supporters. They went over to Sanu Sheikh's house, ransacked it from outside and lobbed petrol inside the rooms through broken windows and then set it on fire. Witnesses claimed that eight persons were burnt alive.
