India has built a framework to eradicate malaria, said WHO representative

By A Saff Reporter : April 25 is World Malaria Day. A special programme was held in Delhi on this day.Union Health Minister Dr Mansukh Mandavia presided over the function. Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan, Dr. Bharti P. Power, and Dr. Roderico Ofrin, WHO'S representative in India were also present there. WHO representative said, ''In line with WHO Global Malaria Technical Strategy, India developed a national framework for malaria elimination to achieve zero cases by 2027 and eliminate malaria by 2030.''
