16 YouTube channels are blocked by the Indian government

By A Staff Reporter : The Indian government has banned a total of 16 YouTube channels for spreading misinformation on national security, foreign relations and public order. Among those blocked channels, 6 are from Pakistan and 10 from India.The Indian government has issued a statement saying,“Ministry of Information and Broadcasting blocks 16 YouTube news channels - 10 Indian and 6 Pakistan-based - for spreading disinformation related to India’s national security, foreign relations and public order. YouTube channels were spreading false, unverified information to create panic, incite communal disharmony and disturb public order in India. Blocked YouTube-based news channels had a viewership of over 68 crore.”
