Swami Chakrapani Maharaj demanded to change the name of Delhi



By A Staff Reporter : Swami Chakrapani Maharaj, president of Akhil Bharat Hindu Mahasabha & Sant Mahasabha, demanded a renaming of the capital a day after the Delhi BJP proposed to the Arvind Kejriwal-led government to rename 40 villages.On Friday, he demanded to change the name of the national capital to 'Indraprastha'.He also said that a signature campaign will be launched on behalf of his organization in this regard.In his words, the old name of Delhi was Indraprastha. The modern name of the city is Delhi. Even in the Mahabharata it is referred to as Indraprastha. Indraprastha means the kingdom of Lord Indra where everyone is living happily. (Dhila). Later, the place was referred to as Delhi and then it became Delhi."
