By A Staff Reporter : Union Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports Anurag Singh Tagore laid the foundation stone of two new projects at the Premier Institute on the 61st founding day of the Netaji Subhash National Institute of Sports, Patiala of the Sports Authority of India (SAI).It is part of the restructuring of Netaji Subhash National Institute of Sports Patiala where over Rs 150 crore is being invested in 3 years.The first project is a national sports coaching center with a high-tech sports science lab and strength and conditioning hall for the education of diploma holders.The new infrastructure includes an indoor 3-lane track and a complete rehabilitation and recovery gym for athletes.The Energy and Conditioning Hall has the capacity to accommodate up to 150 athletes simultaneously and promises to be one of the biggest facilities in the country.The second project is the construction of a centralized fully air-conditioned kitchen and food court with a seating capacity of 400 people and a modular kitchen with the capacity to prepare 200 meals.
