Due to 'Asani' cyclone several trains and flights cancelled

BY A STAFF REPORTER: Cyclone Ashni is gradually moving towards the Andhra coast. The met department has predicted that the cyclone will reach the Andhra coast by Wednesday evening. It is learnt that at present, the cyclone is 60 km away from Machilipatnam. It is also 180 km away from Kankinara in Andhra. The South Central Railway has already cancelled 37 trains. Cyclone Asani continued to disrupt flight operations as all IndiGo flights were cancelled on Wednesday morning in Visakhapatnam in Andhra pradesh and Chennai in Tamil Nadu. Air Asia has cancelled one flight from Bengaluru and one flight from New Delhi, airport director of Visakhapatnam K Srinivasa Rao said.
