Rajya Sabha elections: nominations begin

BY A STAFF REPORTER: The date for filing of nominations for 57 Rajya Sabha seats in 15 states of the country has begun on Tuesday. Nominations for these seats can be filed till May 31. These include five seats in the Bihar quota. Of these, the term in four seats is going to end soon, while one seat is vacant for the last two and a half years. Three of these seats have been linked to faces considered to be very strong politically, despite this time the math of the ticket has not been cleared for any of the seats so far.
