BSF apprehended 2 Bangladeshi nationals on Indo–Bangladesh Border

By a staff reporter-68 Battalion troops apprehended 2 Bangladeshi nationals while performing vigilant duty in their area. Identification of apprehended Bangladeshi Nationals Sakina Sheikh (27), District - Noshindi (Bangladesh),Shishir (22), District - Barguna (Bangladesh).During interrogation, they confessed that they are citizens of Bangladesh and have come to India to earn money but due to lack of job in India, they were returning back to Bangladesh.The BSF troops on duty apprehended them while they were crossing the international border.The BSF, after thoroughly examining the Bangladeshi nationals, handed over to the Border Guard Bangladesh on humanitarian and goodwill basis.Yogendra, Commanding Officer, 68th Battalion, stated that although the BSF is taking strict measures to prevent Indo- Bangladesh border based infiltration, it is handing over the apprehended citizens to the Border Guard of Bangaldesh, considering the seriousness of such crimes and to maintain mutual cooperation and goodwill amongst the border guarding forces of both nations.
