State government has posted a 2013 batch IPS officer Swati Bhangalia as the new Police superintendent of Howrah rural, shunting out incumbent Soumya Ray after violence and mayhem gripped the area following protests by a section muslim fundamentalists.
Swati is currently posted as deputy commissioner of police south west in Kolkata police.
