Maharashtra Assembly Speaker's election tomorrow, BJP-Shiv Sena face off

BY A STAFF REPORTER: Eknath Shinde is now in Maharashtra's Masand after chief minister Uddhav Thackeray's resignation following a rebellion by party MLAs. Capturing power in Maharashtra by Eknath Shinde after three years of trying is a new challenge for the BJP. The election of speaker or speaker of the Maharashtra legislative assembly will be held tomorrow, Sunday. Shiv Sena MLA Ranjan Salve who is close to Uddhav Thackeray is the candidate against BJP candidate Rahul Nawekar in the speaker election. Ranjan Salve is naturally supported by the other two parties of the Maha Vikas Aghadi, the Congress and the NCP. Rahul's victory will not be easy even if the BJP is ahead in terms of numbers with rebel Shiv Sena and Independents having 50 MLAs from the Eknath Shinde faction.
