The car used by Ripudaman Singh Malik's assassins has been identified by Canadian authorities

By a Staff Reporter: Ripudaman Singh Malik was suspected of playing a role in the June 1985 bombing of Air India Flight Kanishka by Khalistani terrorists. However, in 2005, he was cleared of all allegations in the case.

Police have identified the car used by his assassins in the gangland-style homicide of 75-year-old Ripudaman Singh Malik on Thursday. On Friday, the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) published a video showing a white Honda car that appeared in the area just before Malik was discovered shot there.

The footage indicated that the car had more than one person. According to the Vancouver Sun, Malik was shot at while sitting in his Tesla in a parking lot near the premises of the business he managed, Papillon Eastern Imports.

Investigators have asked the public for help if anyone saw anything in the area or had dashcam footage from between 7 a.m. and 9 a.m. that day. Malik was murdered just before 9.30 a.m. During a press conference on Friday, IHIT's Sgt David Lee stated that they were aware of the "highprofile worldwide story," but requested the media not to "speculate as to the reason as our murder detectives will be following the facts."
