In what is considered a landmark understanding with far reaching consequences, India and Bangladesh has decided to exchange information on cross border terrorism and criminal activity and take firm and effective steps to monitor and control any acts of terror. Speaking exclusive with ANM News over phone from Dhaka, Bangladesh home minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal mentioned that intelligence exchange, cross border terrorism, firing along the border were some of the points discussed with the director general of BSF, Pankaj Singh. A BSF delegation led by Singh is on a visit to Bangladesh.

``We have also discussed fencing along the border in Tripura and a train corridor on the Bangladesh side of the border. There were deliberations on several new measures for effective border patrolling. I am very satisfied with the interaction,'' Khan said.

The BSF delegation later had extensive interactions with their counterparts. Sources close to the BSF chief mentioned that deliberation went on in a very cordial atmosphere and important decisions are going to emanate in near future.
