Professor Soma Bandopadhayay: close to Partha, immensely favoured

Disgraced TMC minister Partha Chatterjee's list of List of Girlfriends (LoG) has a new addition practically every day. Professor Soma Bandopdhayay, who specialised in Hindi and never had any experience in training any teacher was appointed as the Vice Chancellor of West Bengal Teachers Training Administration and Training, a sprawling institute in Ballygunge Circular Road. She is also the Vice Chancellor of Diamond Harbour Women's College. Breaking all norms, rules and regulations, Partha Chatterjee as the President of Board of Governors of IISWBM, a premier management institute affiliated to Calcutta University, had appointed Professor Bandopadhayay as the Director. Questions were raised as to how a professor who has specialised in Hindi can become Director of IISWBM. Her colleagues in the institute mentioned that Soma Bandopadhayay openly flaunted her ``closeness'' to Partha Chatterjee and they were often spotted together in various places. She was subsequently transferred as Vice Chancellor. All efforts to contact Soma Bandopadhayay proved futile as she did not answer calls.
