Durga Puja is a festival that is prevalent not only in India but also in Bangladesh. Durga Puja is mainly celebrated by the Indian community in most parts of the world. Like India, Durga Puja is popular in Bangladesh. Bangladesh has the second largest Hindu population in the world. And Durga Puja is the greatest religious festival for Bengali Hindus. The festival is celebrated in almost every city and district of the country. The temples are decorated with idols of the goddess, where devotees go to pray and seek blessings for peace and prosperity. The last day of the festival i.e. Vijaya Dashami is a national holiday in Bangladesh.
