Ahead of Durga puja, now Dengue cases go up in 6 districts

BY A STAFF REPORTER: Dengue cases continously rising in West Bengal. The administration, including the people of the state, have woken up to the fear of dengue in the face of Puja. The number of dengue cases is increasing rapidly in six districts of the state.  ​



These six districts are North 24 Parganas, Howrah, Hooghly, Murshidabad, Darjeeling and South 24 Parganas. The health department has also increased surveillance in Jalpaiguri and Malda. At present, the administration is alert about these six districts. A health official said, "Dengue is a threat to Bengal this year as the number of cases is increasing alarmingly, especially in the six districts of Bengal."
