BY A STAFF REPORTER: There is soon going to be a good news for people travelling to Nadia and Murshidabad from Kolkata. Eastern Railway is contemplating with the idea of increasing the number of air conditioned coaches in Dhandhnya express and Bhagirat express.
There is also a possibility of increasing the frequency of Dhanadhya express from three days to weekly. “There is a huge demand for train travel in these two trains and getting tickets often get very difficult,” said senior BJP leader and local legislator Gauri Ghosh. “I have requested railway authorities to increase the number of coaches and frequency of the trains,” he added.
Ghosh met the general manager of Eastern Railway Arun Arora with his demands. Speaking to ANM News, general manager mentioned that he is looking into the matter and hopefully it will done shortly.
