BY A STAFF REPORTER: In Russia, the bodies of nine people have been recovered from the rubble of a partially collapsed five-story apartment block. Another person is missing in the incident. Rescuers are trying to find him. The building collapsed on the Pacific island of Sakhalin. The governor of the region confirmed this on Saturday. According to sources, the collapse appears to have been caused by a gas explosion. Authorities are investigating the incident. Members of the inquiry committee said they were trying to find out the cause of the disaster.
