India-Kazakhstan joint military exercise to begin in Meghalaya

The 6th edition of india-Kazakhstan joint training exercise "Qazind-22" is scheduled to be held at Umroi in Meghalaya from December 15 to 28 this year. The joint annual training exercise with the Kazakhstan Army was finalized through a joint decision taken five years ago. Relations between the two countries have improved significantly. The regional command of the 11 Gorkha Rifles, the Soldiers of the Kazakhstan Army comprising soldiers from the Southern and Indian Armies took part in the exercise. The purpose of this exercise is to build positive military relations, military exchanges and efforts to establish peace in the international movement.
