Serum Institute to start free COVID vaccine supply to central government

BY A STAFF REPORTER: The Serum Institute has decided to provide free Covishield to the Centre for the booster dose. It is learnt that a decision has been taken to administer around 80 lakh doses. According to sources, Serum Institute of India (SII) chief Prakash Kumar Singh has written a letter to the Union Health Ministry to provide doses worth around Rs 410 crore free of cost.







The Indian government has already stressed on vaccination as an early precaution as the Covid situation has worsened in several countries, including China.
