Many historians believe that Netaji died in Taiwan on August 18, 1945, while he was on a plane. This aircraft bomb was the victim of an accident. At the time of Netaji's death, some Japanese were also with him. In 1956, a detailed investigation report came to Japan. It was released in 2016. According to the report, Netaji's last rites were performed in The Tahiku Prefecture. This place is currently located in Taipei, the capital of Taiwan. His remains were handed over to his close aide S A Iyer at that time. The rest of his belongings were given to Ramamurthy of the Indian Independence Association in Tokyo at that time. These products were handed over to the royal headquarters in Tokyo on 8 September 1945.
