By a Staff Reporter: Two ferries carrying pilgrims on their way back from the Gangasagar got stuck in the middle sea near Kakdwip on Monday causing a lot of tension.
However, the Indian Coast Guard team is continuing the rescue operation. As per the latest available information, 130 people have been rescued so far. Rescue operations are underway with helicopters and speedboats. Old and weak women are being rescued first. It is reported that more than 500 people were trapped in the two boats.
