BY A STAFF REPORTER: Former top cop Pankaj Singh is all set to become the next deputy National Security Advisor (NSA). According to highly placed sources in the MHA, the union government has cleared the name of Singh, a 1988 batch IPS officer who just retired as director general of BSF as the deputy NSA.
There are three deputy NSA of which one was lying vacant. The other two deputy NSAs are former RAW chief Rajinder Khanna and IFS officer Vikram Misri. Pankaj Singh is a Rajasthan cadre IPS officer and has served with distinction in various positions in the state and in the country.
