BY A STAFF REPORTER: Germany defeated Belgium in the penalty shoot-out to win the Hockey World Cup for the third time. After trailing by two goals at the start of the match, the German team won 5-4 in the shoot-out and became the three-time champions. Niklas Wellen, Gonzalo Peillat and Mats Grambush scored goals to win the 2023 Hockey World Cup by defeating the defending champions.
