Before Shivratri, know about the puja dates and timings

By A Staff Reporter : February 18 is the day of Maha Shivratri.The day is Saturday.According to Hindu calendar, Chaturdashi Tithi will start on Saturday at 8.02 PM.This tithi will stay till 4.18 pm on Sunday.Generally, the tithi that falls on the day of sunrise is accepted. As a result, Mahashivratri can be observed on February 19 as well. On Shivaratri, many people pour water on Mahadev's head during the day, but offerings of water, milk, honey and other materials are offered to Mahadev every hour of the night.

The first phase of Shivratri Puja will start at 6.13 PM in Pradosh on Saturday.It will last up to 9.24 minutes.Puja time of second phase is from 9.24 pm to 12.35 pm. According to English, the new day or 19 February will fall after 12:00 PM. The third phase puja will start from 12:35 PM to 3:46 AM. The fourth phase puja will start at 3:46 PM. It will last up to 6.56 minutes.
