Own Correspondent: Adam Peaty once again wrote his name in the history book when he won the 100m breaststroke gold in Tokyo and was the first British swimmer to defend the Olympic title. It was a perfect swim from start to finish as he finished in 57.37 seconds. Arno Kamminga of the Netherlands, the only person other than PT to go under 58 seconds, won a silver medal and the bronze medal went to Italy's Nicolo Martinengi. GB's James Wilby finished fifth.
