A completely out of sync and disjointed East Bengal lost to a much better Mohun Bagan yet again. The red and gold outfit had one shot on target in the entire match and there was no cohesion among their players. Mohun Bagan literally tore their opponents and dominated proceedings throughout the match. The maroon and green outfit won by two goals putting a big question mark on coach and officials of East Bengal. Incidentally red and gold supporters had raised a banner of revolt against East Bengal officials claiming that they are responsible for the down slide. East Bengal is plagued by politics with a section of officials unwilling to take responsibility and resign to pave the way for a new set of office bearers to try and revive the fortune.
