BY A STAFF REPORTER: At least five people have been killed in a shootout between Azerbaijani soldiers and ethnic Armenians in azerbaijan's Nagorno-Karabakh region. Azerbaijan's defense ministry said two soldiers were killed in an exchange of fire after Azerbaijani troops stopped a convoy suspected of carrying weapons from the region's main city to an area outside. It said the convoy used an unauthorised road. Armenia's foreign ministry said three officials of Karabakh's interior ministry had been killed. It said the convoy contained documents and a service pistol and dismissed Azerbaijan's allegations about carrying weapons as "absurd".
