Macron said his talks with Sunak marked a new beginning between Paris and London following tensions caused by Brexit and other bilateral headaches. "I believe today's meeting is a new beginning. Under the deal, for the first time, the UK will fund a detention centre in France to increase its ability to deal with the number of people trafficked across the channel. Sunak said, "We have to deal with this problem. And today, we have gone further than ever to put an end to this abominable trade in human life. '
