Covid cases on the rise, is this an indicator that third wave in knocking?

Has the third wave of Covid 19 already knocking at our doors? According to health ministry statistics there has been a steady rise in coronavirus cases over the last three days. India has reported 43654 fresh Covid cases in the last 24 hours, a steady rise from 39,000 odd cases in a single day report last week. There has been a surge in the number of cases in Kerala which alone accounted for around 22000 fresh Covid cases. The union health ministry and West Bengal government has sounded a note of caution. The union health ministry has directed states to make necessary arrangements for a sudden surge in Covid cases specially among children.
