Sankalp on 75 years of Independence

The preparations for the celebrations for the ‘75 years of Independence’ of India from colonial rule would start from 15 August 2021. It is necessary we focus our attention and work on the vision about India in 2047, when we complete 100 years of Independence. Only by great fortune one gets the birth in the land of Bharat. Swami Vivekananda on his return from the West and after seeing the world, said very emphatically in his very first lecture : If there is any land on this earth that can lay claim to be the blessed Punya Bhumi, to be the land to which all souls on this earth must come to account for Karma, the land to which every soul that is wending its way Godward must come to attain its last home, the land where humanity has attained its highest towards gentleness, towards generosity, towards purity, towards calmness, above all, the land of introspection and of spirituality -- it is India. Hence have started the founders of religions from the most ancient times, deluging the earth again and again with the pure and perennial waters of spiritual truth. Hence have proceeded the tidal waves of philosophy that have covered the earth, East or West, North or South, and hence again must start the wave which is going to spiritualize the material civilisation of the world. Here is the life - giving water with which must be quenched the burning fire of materialism which is burning the core of the hearts of millions in other lands. Believe me, my friends, this is going to be. The freedom movement was inspired by this vision that India has to raise not for herself but for the whole of humanity; she needs to be independent to express her national soul in all walks of life. Thus, Swami Vivekananda gave the ‘rousing call to the Hindu nation’ to be ‘Jagadguru’. Sri Aurobindo shared his realization that Sanatana Dharma is the nationalism, is the identity of India. Sri Bankim Chandra envisaged her as the ‘Dashpraharandharini Durga’. Mahatma Gandhi aspired Ramrajya to commence with the independence of India. The visions of all these great persons are yet to be fully realized. We are the children of this Bharat. We as the children of the Rishis have to take forward the work of the Rishis. India has survived all the invasions, atrocities, vicissitudes because she has divine mission to help the humanity to evolve. At this propitious moment shall we be concerned only about our mundane needs? The time has come that the pride, the love that we feel for our freedom fighters, our country has to be expressed in our actions. No sacrifice is less. The great works are done by great sacrifices only. On the occasion of 75 years of Independence let us resolve, let us take a Sankalpa that we shall work ceaselessly to manifest the soul of India in all walks of life. At our Nagar Sthan level let us take Sankalap that we would associate 75 persons with Kendra who would give an hour per day in the service of the nation for at least one year of joining. By the time of completion of the 100 years of Independence in 2047, we shall see to it that India in all her glory would be the guiding light to the humanity. Up India! Enlighten the world!!
