Bio medical waste major Greentech gets down to serious work after the election got over in Bhabanipore assembly constituency, clearing Biomedical wastes from 98 booths. Biomedical waste is an infectious and hazardous waste which needs to be collected , transported , handled and treated as per Biomedical Waste Management Rules 2016 framed under relevant provisions of Environment Protection Act 1986. Greentech engaged in clearing of all clubs and schools where elections were conducted following Covid Protocol as per Election Commission of India directions. Kolkata Municipal Corporation and Chief Electoral Officer's office in the state are nodal agencies. ``We are the biggest handler of Covid waste in West Bengal,'' said Greentech managing director, Ramakant Barman.
