TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO UNIFIED TEACHERS ASSOCIATION PRESIDENT CONFRIMS TEACHERS WILL RETURN TO SCHOOLS ON MONDAY DESPITE BEING OVERWHELMED

​By a staff reporter, I.E.TV, Trinidad: President of the Trinidad and Tobago Unified Teachers’ Association Antonia De Freitas says that her members will comply with the Ministry of Education’s recent mandate and teach all forms four-six students, whether vaccinated or not, in a physical classroom from Monday.
Speaking with ie News on Friday, Ms De Freitas did not say if TTUTA was pleased with the ministry’s latest mandate, but she did point out that one of the association's demands was for the ministry to have one mode of learning for all students.
She admitted that while the entire situation is overwhelming for teachers at this time, it will be monitored
A matter of concern would have been the safety of those who remain unvaccinated, both students and teachers… we asked Ms De Freitas whether teachers were considering more so now, the option of the vaccine… she said it still a choice
