The ICU at Tobago’s Medical facilities are filled to capacity… this as the island is facing some 292 active cases of the covid 19 virus amidst some level of vaccine hesitation…
According to Principal Medical Officer in charge of Institutions, Dr Maryam Abdool- Richards on Wednesday however, Trinidad has recorded a decrease in its ICU capacity after days of very high figures almost reaching max capacity as well.
But what exactly would have led to the decrease in occupancy level? Are patients recovering or otherwise? According to Dr Richards, preliminary reports indicate the unfortunately this is not the case…rather an increase in deaths.
And with Divali and other festivities right around the corner Dr Richards is advising those whether vaccinated or un vaccinated to continue to adhere to PH measures implemented
