T&T’S HEALTH MINISTRY SAYS FULLY VACCINATED INDIVIDUALS AMONG THE CASUALTIES FROM COVID 19

By a Staff Reporter: With this Trinidad and Tobago’ s covid 19 death toll close to 1800 as of Monday afternoon, The Ministry of Health would have noted that many victims of the virus would have previously suffered from various types of co morbidities including a mix of diabetes, high blood pressure, kidney disease, heart disease, lung disease, obesity and cancer.
And this is also being described as the cause of death in patients who were fully vaccinated as well. According to Epidemiologist Dr Avery Hinds on Monday, those who would have passed on despite their vaccination status, had very severe illnesses as well.
Meanwhile addressing the issue of those who are severely immune compromised and in need of other vaccinations including the influenza shot, Dr Hinds said provisions have also been implemented for those patients.
