BSF rescued wild birds from the smugglers

On 9th November 2021, under the South Bengal Frontier, acting on intelligence the jawans of the Border Out Post Gongra, District Nadia, rescued 16 exotic birds from smugglers.They were being smuggled to India from Bangladesh. On 9th November 2021, on receiving reliable information, the alert troops of the Border Post Ghongra observed the movement of 10-12 miscreants in front of the fence. Seeing the troops approaching towards them, the miscreants run away towards the Bangladesh. After that the area was searched in which four cages were recovered containing total of 16 exotic birds (12 wild turkeys and 04 black cassqued hornbills) were found. All the rescued birds have been handed over to the Krishnanagar Forest Department.
