By A Staff Reporter- During a visit to Cooch Behar to investigate post-poll violence in West Bengal, BJP leader Ravi Shankar Prasad made disturbing allegations. He claimed, "People of Cooch Behar were beaten. Women and children were mistreated. But the most disturbing incident is that a TMC worker attempted to rape a Dalit woman. Her clothes were torned and she was molested in the village."

Prasad asserted that the victim had identified the TMC worker, yet no FIR had been lodged against him. The BJP leader's statement indicates escalating tensions in the region, highlighting the need for immediate action to address the reported incidents of violence and ensure justice for the victims.
