Chandigarh: Ambala Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) Mandeep Singh Bhatia provided an update on the derailment of the Chandigarh-Dibrugarh Express. "Today, some coaches of Chandigarh-Dibrugarh Express derailed near Motiganj and Jhilahi railway stations. This (accident site) comes under Lucknow division of NER (North Eastern Railway). The cause of derailment has not been established yet," Bhatia stated.

The incident took place within the jurisdiction of the Lucknow division of the North Eastern Railway (NER). Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the derailment to prevent future occurrences.
