'Clearly RSS/BJP Event' Kharge, Adhir, Gandhi Won't Attend Ceremony

The letter mentioned that the Bhartiya Janata Party made a 'political project out of it'. The letter further accused the BJP of inaugurating an incomplete temple merely for electoral gains.

BY A STAFF REPORTER: In an official notification, Jairam Ramesh, the General Secretary of Communications for Congress stated that Mallikarjun Kharge, Sonia Gandhi, and Adhir Ranjan Chowdhary officially declined the invitation to the Ram Temple consecration ceremony. 

The Congress president and Leader of the Party (Rajya Sabha) Mallikarrjung Kharge, Parliamentary Party Chairperson Sonia Gandhi, and Leader of the Party (Lok Sabha) Adhir Ranjan Choudhary turned down the Ram Temple inaugural ceremony invitation, stating it 'RSS/BJP event'.

The letter mentioned that Lord Ram is worshipped by many and religion is a personal matter but the Bhartiya Janata Party made a 'political project out of it'. The letter further accused the BJP of inaugurating an incomplete temple merely for electoral gains.

The Ram Temple consecration ceremony is scheduled for 22nd January in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh.
