By A Staff Reporter: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) Mumbai executed comprehensive search operations on June 12 across 19 locations in Mumbai and Pune, targeting the illegal operations of "Fairplay," an entity involved in the unauthorized broadcasting of cricket matches, including the IPL, and various online betting activities. These activities also encompassed the prediction of results for the Lok Sabha Elections 2024.

During the searches, ED officials seized and froze a range of incriminating materials and assets. The haul included numerous digital devices, substantial cash, bank funds, holdings in Demat accounts, and luxury watches, amounting to approximately Rs. 8 Crore. The confiscation of these items is part of a broader investigation aimed at dismantling illegal betting and broadcasting networks that undermine the integrity of sports and elections in India.
