BY A STAFF REPORTER: In a significant move, the former Minister of Forest, Chaudhary Lal Singh, and former BSP MP from Amroha Danish Ali joined the Indian National Congress in Delhi on March 20, Wednesday.
Chaudhary Lal Singh was the Minister of Forest, Environment, and Ecology during the coalition government of the People's Democratic Party and Bharatiya Janata Party in Jammu and Kashmir until the imposition of President's Rule. He also represented the Basohli constituency in J&K Legislative Assembly.
Moreover, the Lok Sabha MP from Amroha, Uttar Pradesh, Danish Ali left the Bahujan Samaj Party in December 2023. However, he has remained the MP from Amroha since May 2019.
The Indian National Congress on Wednesday welcomed several political leaders in their party including Jharkhand BJP MLA Jai Prakash Bhai Patel. Moreover, it merged Pappu Yadav's Jan Adhikar Party (L). Assam MLA Abdul Khaleque also withdrew his resignation from the Indian National Congress.
