Kheda, Gujarat: An incident of gas leakage from an LPG tanker wagon occurred near Kanij railway station in Kheda district, causing significant disruption to railway services. Nadiad Fire Brigade rushed to the scene, and immediate efforts to contain the situation were initiated, including cooling operations on the LPG tanker.
The goods train, carrying an HPCL wagon, was halted as a precautionary measure, and the down line, which connects trains from Vadodara to Ahmedabad, was temporarily affected. However, Railway Public Relations Officer (PRO) Pradeep Sharma assured that train services are operational on the down line despite the ongoing work. "There is an incident of gas leakage from an HPCL wagon. Trains coming from Vadodara to Ahmedabad are operational, and work is underway to manage the situation," Sharma said.
Authorities are taking swift action to manage the leak and prevent any potential hazards. The exact cause of the leakage is still under investigation, and officials are monitoring the situation closely to ensure public safety. Further updates on the incident and railway operations are awaited as teams continue to work on securing the area.
